NexUS helps us discover and develop people and their ideas. It is a venue for sharing the stories and wisdom of entrepreneurs.

AI and the internet alone cannot develop people and help them test their ideas. Entrepreneurs need the human elements of empathy, constructive feedback, and encouragement to master creative confidence, which in turn energizes the development of people and enlightens their ideas. How do I know this? From working with and studying entrepreneurial leaders.

Since 1989 I have been a college professor. Since 2010 I have worked with students exploring if entrepreneurship is a vocational answer to their calling and helping them test their business ideas. And, over the course of my teaching career, in fits and starts, I have studied and written about entrepreneurial leaders. 

Here’s what I’ve learned: entrepreneurial leaders grow in empathetic communities that provide expertise and encouragement to engage in trial and error. And the more often emerging entrepreneurial leaders engage in trial and error, the more their creative confidence grows. This confidence, then, not only facilitates their ability to innovate, but also helps them better develop and test their ideas.
