Introducing NexUs Events
“Enlightened trial and error succeeds over the planning of the lone genius.” — IDEO
One way God provides for our needs is through entrepreneurial leaders.
NexUS events seek to nurture prospective entrepreneurs as they engage in the process of trial and error. How do NexUS events do that?
AI and the internet alone are not the answer to building a business model that works. Entrepreneurial leaders need empathy, encouragement, experimentation skills. They also need helpful feedback. How did I come to this conclusion?
From working with and writing about entrepreneurial leaders. For three-and-a-half decades, I have been a college professor. For the last 20 years I have worked with students testing their business ideas and exploring if entrepreneurial leadership is an answer to their calling, and for the last 10 years I have studied and written about entrepreneurial leaders.
Here’s one thing I’ve learned: entrepreneurial leaders develop in community and develop their ideas in community, for community is the best environment for practicing “enlightened trial and error,” which is the basis of creating effective and efficient business models. And the best entrepreneurs are not only driven to succeed, but humble and hungry to learn.
Thus, NexUS events—connecting “What’s next?” and “us"—help communities develop entrepreneurial leaders and their ideas.
